The Mirrored Hall

The Mirrored Hall is an eclectic compilation of short stories from a variety of different authors, all curated by Brian Woodruff and Ian Morgenheim. I was given the pleasure of designing the book in it’s entirety and providing illustrations.

The eclectic nature of the stories raised an interesting dilemma with respect to my illustration approach—how do I create cohesion amongst the many different stories? To do so, I pulled free-use images, cut them up, reassembled them, and applied various treatments. The result are illustrations that have a similar look, but communicate wildly different ideas.
